Timber Grabs
The QM EV Series Wood Grapples are the result of many years of direct experience gained with forestry professionals and are an indispensable tool in the handling of logs and lumber of any size. They are constructed in DOMEX 700 steel, which is a superior alloy, with honeycomb bushings and solid pins for better longevity, and have a 100% optimized contour With a design that prevents the collection of unwanted material. Wood grapples are connected, to the operating machines, generally by dual hydraulic lines: one for rotation, the other for opening and closing the claws. They are available, depending on size and work requirements, in seven models divided into three different versions: standard, open and reinforced. As an option and up to the EV1350 Series, a mechanical rotator is available, connected to the clamp and in addition to the hydraulic rotators. This allows the clamp to be rotated manually and is very useful for smaller operating machines, which often do not have a double hydraulic line. Finally, at the user’s request, grapples with open claws at the base can be supplied, which are effective for moving cut lumber and in service to chippers that provide wood chipping.
